Newbuilding Projects

Projects involve the construction of a new vessel, and there are several aspects that need to be considered and managed. As a part of the new building project team, some of the key responsibilities could include:
Plan approval
Reviewing and approving the vessel design plans to ensure compliance with class and regulatory requirements, as well as client specifications.
Contract specification
Defining the vessel's specifications, including technical requirements, performance parameters, and safety features, and incorporating them into the contract with the shipbuilder.
Makers selection
Identifying and selecting the best equipment makers and suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and other relevant criteria.
Project management
Overseeing the entire construction process to ensure that the vessel is built according to specifications, within budget, and on schedule. This includes monitoring progress, conducting quality checks, and resolving any issues that arise.

Shop tests
Attending shop tests on all installed equipment and systems to verify that they meet the specified requirements and perform as intended.
Sea trials
Attending sea trials to test the vessel's performance and verify compliance with class and regulatory requirements. This involves verifying the vessel's speed, maneuverability, stability, and safety systems under various operating conditions.
Warranty claims
Managing any warranty claims that arise during the warranty period after delivery, liaising with shipbuilders and equipment makers to resolve issues, and ensuring that any necessary repairs are carried out.
